WR Reggie Wayne Traded for 2 First Round Draft Picks

Mark Ewing and the Transylvania Evil Dead announced a trade in March of 08 that sent long-time star WR Reggie Wayne, along with their 5th and 6th round draft picks to the Huntsville Ravens for the 17th and 21st picks in the First Round of the 2008 draft. The Evil Dead will now have 3 picks in round one, 9th, 17th and 21st. "We hated to trade Reggie Wayne. He formed a deadly combo with WR Randy Moss, but with both of them hitting age 30, and the need for new talent, we felt we had to do it", said coach Mark Ewing. "We need to get new talent if we are going to compete to win the title."

RWayne was drafted by the Minnesota franchise, and caught one pass for 5 yards. The next year Mark Ewing took over the team, re-named them the Transylvania Evil Dead and Wayne became a starter. In 6 years, he has caught 308 passes for 4275 yards, 13.8 avg and 28 TDs. He has gained over 1000 yards the last 3 years straight. He is 30th all-time in TTFBA career catches.
